summerland art gallery...

a few days ago....i discovered 'summerland art gallery', and absolutely was glad about the discovery...:o))....

the current exhibition was 'passages, portals and beyond'...a beautiful collection of fabric art created by the fabricators group... i was completely enthralled by the imaginative and unique wall hangings.....also, i had a lovely chat with the wonderful volunteer lady there, who was absolutely willing in sharing all kinds of artist type information with me...so thank-you to you...very much...:O)

and thanks to linda...manager of peachland market, for all of your help...which i have to say, has been more than alot..xx

hindsight?...

papergirl kelowna will be applying for a 'non profit number', to enable us next year to apply for funding...to cover venue costs, printing, food for the volunteers, display materials...and all the other hidden costs......because non profit status...is a bonus!

bits and bobs....

distributed posters at happily frequented coffee and tea venues today...:o) also posters 'posted' at kelowna library and opus art supplies, where i did indeed purchase stretchy canvases and wooden implements in preparation for my contribution to papergirl kelowna...yiphee!!!!!!!
thanks to michelle for offering helping hands....and thanks to jason for volunteering to photograph our event, and in the donation of his beautiful photography for the free world to possess...:o))

peachland farmers and art market

spent wonderful time indulging in breath taking views, admiring quaint ships and eateries, and purchasing fresh produce at the prettiest market in the okanagan...

(oh and must not forget the purchase of spaghetti hoops from the english shop!!.)

i will be attending peachland market for 2 sundays in august (hopefully)...

well actually not so much...but, my dear friend roberta, dropped one off to my personal self today, (a bicycle that is),...out of the goodness of her own heart....,

now, i think the catalyst of such of a donation may have been the sorry sight of me biking around in the 'sally anne' car park on a bike of weathered means....but regardless,.....roberta, you are fab...i am going to spray paint it blue with multi coloured dots..hurrah!!....

sunday, sunday...so good to me....

within the past few days, there has been visiting of art galleries, art establishments, wineries and arty lofty places, collecting business cards, postcards and flyers regarding wonderful artists who would be a fantastic asset to any art show!...potentially 150 plus artists will be personally contacted  regarding the donation of art, and we are hoping the 'grass roots' philosophy of the papergirl movement will spread the news to a multitude of other  fab contributers....
